Once around the Lake Please!

We walked to Bellagio Central and had a coffee and croissants at at cafe beside the vaporetto.

We boarded around 11am and our first stop was Manerra.

We walked along the water and ascended into the village. We explored Chiesa San Giorgio that has some partially preserved frescos dating back to the 13th century. We checked out the small chapel nearby then went into Chiesa San Giovanni Battista.  They found documentation that describe that the church was enlarged and consecrated in 1151.  It had some partial frescos that they restored.

We had lunch near the pier at Locanda Cavallino. The guys had a margarita pizza and the crust was like focaccia. Betty and I shared the fish snack plate. John really enjoyed his bolognese sauce and Bill had ravioli.  Betty and I shared smocked salmon on focaccia with goat cheese and greens.

We took the vaporetto to Maneggio and walked along the water to cafe del Pess. Bill ordered a Menaggio gin fizz and gelato, Betty ordered a Coke Zero, I ordered an aperol sour (not very sour) and John ordered an aperol spritz.

We did a bit of shopping and exploring the Chiesa di San Marta. It is very simple and has some beautiful frescos.

While on the ferry, we were able to have great views of the lake and beautiful colourful buildings along the water.

Bill and John took the "train" back to the square to our Airbnb while Betty and I did some shopping, then also took the train tour back to our square. It was a nice informative drive around Bellagio that pointed out some of the historical buildings and surroundings.

John drove us to dinner at Salice Blu. The chef took our meal order, interesting. Betty had the squash and truffle risotto, I don't recall what John ordered.  Bill and I had the Good Memories tasting menu with vegetables, black truffle pappardelle, Lake Como fish, and puff pastry mille feuille. It was mostly without nightshade vegetables as per my request to the chef...

We enjoyed some cocktails and wine on the patio before heading to bed.
