Beautiful Lake Como
I was up on good time and walked down to the market. I was hoping to grab some fresh fruit and cheese that we can enjoy at our Airbnb but the market is clearly closed on Sunday and totally abandoned!
It was a beautiful day, a nice walk, and I was able to enjoy some of the sites agin without any of the crowds.
On the drive to Bellagio we stopped in at Como for lunch. It took a while to settle on a restaurant but we finally found a quiet little outdoor cafe and had a nice lunch.
The drive was incredibly beautiful along Lake Como. We arrived at our Airbnb that we are going to spend the next couple of nights at just outside of Central Bellagio. There is a cozy sheltered patio off the main floor bedroom that was perfect for relaxing and having a couple of drinks. The property is huge with lots of trees, a pool, and a public beach just over the wall from our property.
After a quick dip in the pool, we walked a short distance along the road to the Silvio Restaurant. We have a nice view of the water and the sun is starting to set - very pretty. It is evident that we are at the end of the tourist season as they are running out of things like the wine selection.
We were still able to have a great meal starting with burrata di scottona, suckling pig, duck ragu pasta, grilled lake fish, and pasta. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine, and ambiance!
After a night cap on the patio we headed to bed.
